He was abused and had scars all over his face from his years on the street but this happy gentle soul never gave up.

He was found protecting a motherless litter of puppies. His rescuers struggled to help him live and give him a chance. 

Through the help of our supporters we were able to bring him to Toronto where he found the most loving home any dog could ever wish for. His life here was more than we could have hoped. He bloomed and brought love and joy to all that met him.

As we struggled to come to terms with the suddenness of his passing and the desperate anguish that he didn’t have more time, we’ve honored his memory by establishing Buddy’s Legacy – a fund to save more dogs like Buddy. Dogs that are forgotten and have no hope. Whenever someone donates in memory of their dog we will put the money in this fund.
